Un aperçu de la circulation française des textes wisigothiques : les cas de Grégoire d'Elvire et Juste d'Urgell

Abstract : Most Iberian writings preceding or contemporaneous with the genesis of the Liber glossarum appear not only in libraries of the southern parts of Gaul, but also in North-Central ones, according to evidences from both preserved manuscripts and Carolingian inventories. The analysis of the manuscript traditions highlights very different ways of transmission, where some presently hidden lines have a significant and unpredictable part, as sometimes can be seen thanks to episodes of indirect tradition. This happens in two case studies examined here, the commentaries on the Song of Songs by Gregory of Elvira and Justus of Urgell: their direct tradition reveals only a segment of the actual dissemination of the texts and their exegetical contents.
