Mise en œuvre d’une éducation à la biodiversité – Les apports théoriques du changement conceptuel tendance « chaude » et du débat socio-cognitif.

Abstract : Our works in biodiversity education in primary schools have shown the benefit to consider connexions between cognitive and affective dimensions of learning while bringing students to perceive the limits of their common sense knowledge. In the perspective of building a learning pattern biodiversity education, we present an innovative operational tool. Based on both the theory of conceptual change and socio-cognitive debate, this device allows students to emotionally accept the questioning of their personal convictions by the perception of limits of alternative explanatory models to better ownership of the proposed scientific concepts. Embodying more than 80% of animal biodiversity, triggering contrasting emotional reactions, arthropods are an entry point of particular interest in this study.
