Observer-based controller and separation principle for TS systems with unmeasurable premise variables

Abstract : This paper deals with the observer-based controller design for Takagi-Sugeno systems with unmeasurable premise variables. Under some assumptions (good choice of the controller structure and appropriate TS forms for the observer and controller gains), the proposed observer-based controller ensures the asymptotic convergence. Moreover, the separation principle is proved and independent LMI problems are obtained for the observer and the controller design. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
