Estimating traffic noise levels using acoustic monitoring: a preliminary study

Résumé : In this paper, the Non-negative Matrix Factorization is applied for isolating the contribution of road traffic from acoustic measurements in urban sound mixtures. This method is tested on simulated scenes to enable a better control of the presence of different sound sources. The presented first results show the potential of the method.
