Improved method of checking the appearance of the surface of a tyre

Abstract : Method of detection according to claim 9, in which, - the grey level image of the interior surface of a tyre to be checked is captured, and this starting image is transformed into an orthonormal space in which the abscissa axis (OX) represents the circumferential direction, and the ordinate axis (OY), - the predetermined series of filters is applied to the starting image of the interior surface of the tyre to be checked so as to obtain a multivariate starting image, - the multivariate starting image is split according to the predefined tiling into the axial and circumferential directions, in such a way as to obtain multivariate imagettes of the interior surface of the tyre to be checked, - each of the multivariate imagettes is transformed into unidimensional vectors, with the aid of each of the selected descriptors, in such a way as to obtain a simplified multivariate image of the interior surface of the tyre to be checked, - the simplified multivariate image is transformed into the common reduced factor space, - with the aid of a classifier able to identify the zones of the reduced common factor space wherein the anomalies are accommodated, the imagettes of the interior surface of the tyre to be checked containing an anomaly are located.
