Hybrid powertrain sizing and potential consumption gains
Résumé
In this paper, we describe a methodology for hybrid powertrain sizing and consumption gain evaluation, that we apply to one clutch parallel hybrid architecture. Firstly the sizing procedure is detailed. Secondly we briefly introduce a global optimization tool for energy management in hybrid vehicles, KOALA, and its particular use for splitting the potential consumption gain according to the hybrid vehicle functions (e.g. start/stop, energy recovery, etc.). Finally some results are presented, showing the consumption potential gains of the considered architecture, for several parameter variations.
