L’enseignement de l’écriture en CP : description des pratiques enseignantes dans 131 classes

Abstract : This article presents a first analysis of writing tasks observed in 131 first grade classes during three weeks of investigation, at different times of the school year. These data come from the research project “Reading-writing in first grade” (2012-2015). The analysis focuses on the total duration of the tasks assigned to teaching writing, duration breakdown between the various types of tasks per week and breakdown between the different linguis-tic units worked on. The first results show that writing tasks are proposed in all classes and represent just under a third of the total reading and writing time (30%). A majority of first-grade classes only uses the writing tasks (calligraphy, dictation, copy) to validate phonographic skills focusing on the word as the baseline linguistic unit.
