Contacto lingüístico y transcategorización: el uso adverbial de había sido en castellano paraguayo

This work aims to study the syntactic behaviour of “evidential” and “adverbial” había sido in Paraguayan Spanish (RAE, 2009). Some works specifically dedicated to this dialectal variant have claimed that it is a calque of Guarani morpheme -ra'e (Usher of Herreros 1976, 1987 Liuzzi Liuzzi and Kirtchuk 1989, Palacios Alcaine 1999 and 2008). However, although the variation of these uses from the Spanish standards is patent from both semantic and syntactic point of views, we must clarify the scope of the Guarani morpheme influence. At the semantic level, we have shown in previous works (Blestel 2011 et seq.) that the pluperfect evidential and even admirative meanings (DeLancey 1997 and 2012) can be explained by the primary signified of the Spanish pluperfect indicative. At a syntactic level, we try to understand to what extent this phenomenon follows the patterns of the Guarani syntax, how it has to be related to other processes of grammaticalization and why, as a result of the above, we can conclude that we are facing a linguistic convergence process, since the contact with the Guarani leads speakers to expand and develop meanings made possible by the Spanish language.
Este trabajo tiene como objetivo estudiar el funcionamiento sintáctico del había sido " evidencial " y " adverbial " del español paraguayo (RAE, 2009). En algunos trabajos que se dedican específicamente a esta variante dialectal, se ha afirmado que se trata de un calco del morfema guaraní-ra'e (Usher de Herreros 1976, Liuzzi 1987, Liuzzi y Kirtchuk 1989, Palacios Alcaine 1999 y 2008). Ahora bien, aunque la variación de estos empleos respecto a la norma estándar del español está patente tanto a nivel semántico como a nivel sintáctico, es necesario matizar el alcance de la influencia del morfema guaraní. A nivel semántico, hemos mostrado en trabajos anteriores (Blestel 2011 et seq.) que la acepción evidencial e incluso admirativa (DeLancey 1997 y 2012) del pluscuamperfecto se puede explicar por el significado primario del pluscuamper-fecto de indicativo en español. A nivel sintáctico, trataremos de entender en qué medida este fenómeno sigue las pautas de la sintaxis guaraní, cómo tiene que ser relacionado con otros procesos de gramaticalización y por qué, a raíz de todo lo expuesto, podemos llegar a la conclusión de que estamos ante un proceso de convergencia lingüística, siendo el contacto con el guaraní lo que lleva a los hablantes a ampliar y desarrollar usos posibilitados por la lengua española.
