Effect of spurious resonances in optical networks-on-chip with ring topology

Abstract : The influence of spurious resonances due to the resonant nature of ring optical network-on-chip architectures is investigated numerically for the first time. These unwanted resonances result in a reduction of the usable bandwidth of add-drop multiplexers, hence tighter laser stability requirements than in point-to-point links.
