Rue, drogue et violence: La survie des jeunes habitants de rue à Bogotà

Abstract : Based on an ethnographic fieldwork in the street and social centers of Bogotà, the purpose of this article is to investigate how young and homeless drug-consumers try to survive. The research focuses on the places they frequent which define their space of life. Describing the strategies of protecting or defending themselves and their day-by-day survival experiences, this text tends to capture the way these young people manage to escape or to deal with very complex situations where poverty, drugs and violence play a central role.
