Abstract : Experiences in our Micromégas project have shown that a detailed interaction log can be valuable to both users and designers of interactive systems. In this paper, we describe two different attempts at logging traces of Web activity, the first by instrumenting a specific browser, Camino, and the other by creating a cross-platform Firefox extension. We briefly discuss some of the issues brought by these developments and suggest directions for future work.
