Rapports sociaux de sexe et immigration (mondes atlantiques XIX e -XX e siècles)

Abstract : This volume is the first of a series dedicated to the gendered history of international migrations in the atlantic world during the nineteenth and twentieth century. Studying the way gender roles and norms structure migrant's practises and decisions, it explores the way that factor shapes migration flows and patterns. Authors look as well at the effect of migration on gender roles and shows the diversity of gendered arrangments strongly dependant on historical and social contexts.
