Une approche combinant bornes stochastiques, traces et histogrammes pour l'analyse de performance des réseaux

Abstract : We present a new method to analyse the performance of networks. First, we show how to compute stochastic bounds of traces for input trafic with discrete distributions. We obtain histograms the sizes of which are given as a parameter of the analysis. So, we propose a trade-off between complexity and accuracy. Then, we prove that FIFO networking elements are stochastically monotone when the trafic and the service capacity are described by histograms. Thus, by decomposition, one can bound the distribution of the queue sizes in a tandem network
