Complex radome design through the system-by-design approach

Abstract : An effective approach for the design and optimization of complex radome structures based on the System-by-Design (SbD) paradigm is presented. The proposed approach is based on the integration of suitable synthesis and analysis blocks exploiting surrogate models which enable the optimization of the radome parameters and structure. The surrogate model is used in this case to predict the values of the cost function in the optimization step. A representative result is reported to show the potentialities of the SbD-based design methodology.
