Abstract : In this article we discuss the results that come from a research project whose aim to offertheoretical and methodological support to follow and understand the formative dynamics ofthe Professional Master in Mathematics Teaching at a community college in Rio Grande doSul, Brazil. Therefore, it is understood that the course needs to provide necessaryconditions for the professional development of teachers of its protagonists becomeeffective. The subjects involved are students and course graduates who work in primary andhigher education, a total of 20 participants. For this discussion, the proposed problem isthis: As students and graduates realize the responsibilities arising from the Master courseand the National Curriculum Guidelines for Undergraduate Mathematics? This issue isjustified by the fact that the course has, among others, the aim of training at the level ofpost-graduate studies, mathematics teachers working in education in primary, secondaryand higher education. It sought therefore to analyze the competencies present in thecontinuing education of participating subjects. As a partial result, you can verify that theintersection between the tables and charts on skills developed by masters and indicated byNational Curriculum Guidelines for Undergraduate Mathematics demonstrate the coherenceof research subjects in indicating the degree of importance of each, showing correlationbetween them.
