Abstract : The teaching of the affine function has an important contribution to the development ofstudents of basic education. Nevertheless, we note several studies on students' difficultieswhen they come across situations which involve this mathematical model. Therefore weseek to undertake a survey of research studies that show the difficulties that students havewith the affine function. To conduct this study, we selected articles and dissertations thatdeal with the subject in Brazil. We observed that students' difficulties are not specific andare very often repeated at different levels and realities of teaching. In this study, the tool foranalysis that we used was Statistical Implicative Analysis along with CHIC (CohesiveHierarchical Implicative Classification) software. With the data provided by CHIC, weverified that there are, in some cases, an index of similarity and high implication when wecompare the difficulties observed in the students in the research carried out.
