The current topic is " Deictic verbs of motion in Chaozhou dialect ". Deictic verbs concern motion verbs such as 来 lai 5 " come " and 去 kw 3 " go ". They may function as the main verb of the clause or as directional placed after another verb. This study aims to highlight some of Chaozhou dialect's main relevant features, in the perspective of a typology of Sinitic languages.
