Combination of Sugeno Fuzzy System and Evidence Theory for NAO Robot in Colors Recognition

Résumé

Nowadays, robotics technologies act more and more important roles in our industrial life. However, developing a robot with intelligent behaviors that follow to human reasoning and perception is really a challenge. This paper introduces an artificial intelligence technique that helps a NAO robot to recognize the color of a required object. Sugeno fuzzy system and evidence theory are used in combination to firstly solve the problem of color recognition based on human perception, and then fuse information from many sources to provide better decisions. These methodologies obtain a good recognition quality through real time experimentations.
