Gérard Genette’s Evolving Narrative Poetics

The article presents the author's perspectives on the narrative poetics in the works of Gérard Genette, particularly in the book "Narrative Discourse." It states that the book searched several relations between the narrating act, the narrative text and the narrated story. Moreover, the book is said to establish a new standard by giving an approach to analyze and describe the quality of narrative as a self-regulating system.
