Alternative to colour feature classification using colour contrast ocurrence matrix

In this article we propose for the first time a new colour texture feature taking into account the vector variation of colour contrast in the neighborhood of a pixel location. These variations are considered in a vector form, using a perceptual distance and two angles expressed for colour images in a perceptual space, like CIELab.
