La littérature comme instrument de sauvegarde du patrimoine culturel immatériel des Kurdes de Turquie

Abstract : For the most part of the XXth century, in Turkey, Kurdish language and identity were subjected to denial and assimilation politics. It is in diaspora, in the 1930’s, that the cultural heritage of the Kurds experienced a first enterprise of preservation, around the Hawar magazine published in Syria by the Bedir Khan Brothers. It is still in diaspora but this time in Sweden, from the very late 1970s, that the writer Mehmed Uzun laid the foundations of contemporary Kurdish novel, with preoccupations as much patrimonial as literary. The cultural and literary heritage that these pioneers began to uncover is now central to the concerns of young publishing houses in Istanbul or Diyarbakır, in a context where the progressive liberalization of linguistic rights is far from fulfilling the demands of the Kurds in Turkey.
