Le récit : un outil pour prendre en compte le temps et l’espace et construire des savoirs en sciences ?

Abstract : This contribution seeks to understand how students in compulsory education take time and space into account when they develop arguments in biology on nutrition. The case study, which focuses on 6 to 9-year-old students and 14/15-year olds, analyses students’ early learning outputs from an epistemic and language perspective. Findings show that students spontaneously write columns which are useful for them to take time and space into account in their explanations. They also reveal that controversy in the classroom is favourable to both problematisation and secondarisation of their writing outputs. Finally the first columns are analysed to know if they are an aid or an obstacle to the development of problematised knowledge on nutrition.
