Teaching of Statistics in France: Macrodidactical and Microdidactical Issues

Abstract : The article presents the results of a theoretical analysis of the issues related to the teaching of statistics common in France andother European countries. The authors distinguish between macrodidactical and microdidactical factors and define the peculiarfeatures of the didactical system at work in the teaching of statistics. These features allow for the complex nature of the teachingof statistics to a growing audience.
