Varèse's Ionisation has already been analysed in a number of important articles. This study shows that many different points of view can be brought to an analysis of this work, which may result in different ways of listening to and interpreting Ionisation. Here are three possible ways: (1) traditional thematic analysis ; (2) parametrical analysis ; (3) an analysis by sonorities, i.e. global and fully articulated entities. So, at least three readings of Ionisation are possible, but the third one is the most comprehensive.
