The volume contains a selection of essays that investigate the role assumed by argumentation theory after the “argumentative turn” of the Fifties. The essays are centered on the analysis of the historical and theoretical status of argumentation theory, on the classification of its products, on the discussion on the rationality of its procedures, on the analysis of persuasive procedures, and on the study of the effects of argumentative practices on education.
