Les adolescents et les médias sociaux: une collaboration informelle pour un apprentissage organique

Abstract : Many researchers who study the integration of technology in education have tried to prove that technologies help improve learning. When the time comes to talk about social media in schools, many wonder how they can be integrated to the curriculum and for what purpose they might be used. The study we are describing below focussed on informal learning that adolescents do through their interactions in social media. From an analysis of adolescent perceptions, we constructed a grounded theory of their need to exist in social media. According to our participants, that need to exist was translated through informal cooperation with their networks, the development of technical skills to learn to use technologies and explicit social skills.
