Requirements on naming schemes design for future wireless Internet
Résumé
It is worldwide known that wireless environments have experienced dramatic growth over the past few years in terms of new areas of usage, ever-increasing demands for mobility and multi-homing and new dependency relations between users, services and devices. All these facts have made designing suitable naming schemes for such dynamic and rich environments an exciting subject of research. In this paper, we are careful to examine research directions regarding naming and addressing features for the future wireless Internet. We emphasize the importance of user and data identification besides hosts and we provide as well a list of requirements for future naming schemes.
