Un point de contact entre collectio Avellana et collectio Thessalonicensis? Autour du cas d’Abundantius de Démétrias
Résumé
The article discusses the relationship between the Collectio Thessalonicensis, containing important documents regarding the popes of Late Antiquity, and the Collectio Avellana, containing papal correspondence. It argues that the two bishops named Abundantius who are mentioned in both collections were identical, although one collection adduces Demetrias as the see. It concludes that the compiler of the Collectio Avellana had access to the acts of the Roman synod of 531.
