Abstract : The paper presents Albert Lautman's ideas on the unity of mathematics in Bourbaki's sense. In mathematics, it addresses problems concerning analytic functions, groups, differential equations, algebraic topology, number theory, logic and methamathematics. In philosophy, it addresses many topics: local VS global, intrinsic VS extrinsic properties, Galois theory, essence VS existence, blended concepts, structures, continuous VS discontinuous VS discrete. The paper presents also Lautman's "dialectic" conception of mathematics, his thoughts about the implication of mathematics in the physical reality, and comments on the debate between Lautman and Cavaillès on February 4 1939.
