Quand le sport fait corps avec l’espace urbain. Introduction à l’écologie corporelle de la ville
Résumé
The urban world elicits usage of the body that illustrates different ways of living, strolling, resisting or sharing the perspective of being one with the environment. Nowadays it is obvious that practices related to the body and sports are invading the urban space. The purpose of this article is to understand urban sports practices from a comprehensive and sensitive viewpoint. Statements will therefore be theoretical in nature and especially in relation to the merging of the sociology of the body with urban sociology in order to characterise “experiential immersions” in the urban décor. In terms of the body, the analysis of sports and urban practices does not merely consist of sociability, interactions and motricity developed in specific spaces, but also the foundation of the intimate relationship of the participant with urban nature and his environment.
Le monde urbain suscite des usages corporels qui illustrent différentes manières d’habiter, de déambuler, de résister ou de jouer dans l’optique de faire-corps avec son environnement. On le voit aujourd’hui, les pratiques corporelles et sportives envahissent l’espace urbain. L’objectif de cet article est d’appréhender les pratiques sportives urbaines par le prisme des approches compréhensives et sensibles. Les propos seront alors de nature théorique et tout particulièrement dans ce qui réunit la sociologie du corps et la sociologie urbaine pour caractériser les « immersions expérientielles » dans le décor urbain. Le point de vue du corps dans l’analyse des pratiques sportives et urbaines ne se réduit pas aux sociabilités, interactions et motricités développées dans les espaces spécifiques mais également dans ce qui fonde la relation intime du pratiquant à la nature urbaine et son environnement.
