Éducation à la santé et à la citoyenneté à l’école primaire : diversité et cohérence des pratiques enseignantes en éducation à…

Abstract : In this article, we have investigated Health Education from an analysis of teaching practices. In France, Health Education is not a subject but a cross-curricular domain linked to citizenship education. Our conceptual framework considers teaching practices as the result the interactions between a context, school actors, community actors, and classroom activities. We displayed the results of a longitudinal study based on the analysis of 253 professional documents collected over three years as well as interviews with the parents, teachers and pupils (74). In this qualitative study, the data were collected in two schools among 21 involved in the research program. The results stated that the teaching practices in Health Education were related to a set of factors including : educational objectives, resources involved and organizational contexts.
