Is airstrip-building part of anthropology?

Abstract : The paper is about how and why we have both privately committed ourselves to help the PNG people we have been working with as anthropologists, the Ankave-Anga of Ikundi, so that they may at last have access to basic health and education services. This paper deals with questions of personal ethics and the consequences of our action, but only marginally with the kind of anthropological material that derives from this engagement.
