3D Crack Detection in Anisotropic Layered Media through a Sparseness-Regularized Solver

Résumé

An innovative 3D imaging technique is proposed for the detection of cracks in anisotropic layered media. Towards this end, a fast approach to compute the 3D method-of-moments (MoM) matrices is combined with a Bayesian Compressive Sensing solver to retrieve the unknown equivalent currents corresponding to sparse crack profiles. The proposed approach is numerically validated in a representative set of examples.
