REMARKS ON THE FULL DISPERSION KADOMTSEV-PETVIASHVLI EQUATION

We consider in this paper the Full Dispersion Kadomtsev-Petviashvili Equation (FDKP) introduced in [19] in order to overcome some shortcomings of the classical KP equation. We investigate its mathematical properties, em-phasizing the differences with the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation and their relevance to the approximation of water waves. We also present some numerical simulations.
