Abstract : Penicillin is introduced in France by the US Health Services Landing. Experimental work is carried dice 1943 by Rhône-Poulenc and Roussel. The firsts French productions are performed in 1945 under the aegis of the Central Pharmacy of the Armed Forces by military doctors and pharmacists of the 2nd DB directed by the physician Commander Peter Broch extracting penicillin from the urine of American soldiers treated this drug. This episode was called Pipiline. From 1947 plants are built that will allow France to stop the import and export of penicillin.
