Interpretation of mesomechanical behaviors of plastic deformation based on analogy to Maxwell electromagnetic theory

Abstract : Physical mesomechanics has introduced a variety of new concepts. At the same time, it has introduced a number of new terms. In this paper, explanations are given to those new terms making use of the similarity to the Maxwell electromagnetic theory. The meaning of plastic deformation as a wave phenomenon representing stress relaxation, and fracture as energy dissipation associated with the stress relaxation will be discussed.
