Identification d’une trame écologique interrégionale

In 2008, regional natural parks of Massif Central have decided to start an experimental project including regional natural parks of Languedoc-Roussillon and two research laboratories (EVS UMR 5600 CNRS, University of Saint-Etienne and UMR TETIS, Cemagref of Montpellier). In response to a call for project of the French Ministry of Ecology, this project aimed to identify the “green and blue belt network” of the Massif Central, with an extension towards Pyrenees. The purpose was to detect an ecological network, at a 1:100,000 scale, using free available and homogeneous data in an area corresponding to the whole Massif Central + Languedoc-Roussillon. We developed and tested new methods, collected GIS data and produced and cartographic documents to build a communication medium for local actors information and awareness. The project will contribute to a national reflection about the green and blue belt network and nourish the future works and projects of regions, parks and other territorial entities.
Les Parcs naturels du Massif central se sont engagés, fi n 2008, dans un projet expérimental commun « d’identification d’une trame écologique du Massif central avec extension vers les Pyrénées », dans le cadre d’un appel à projets du Ministère en charge de l’écologie. Ils se sont associés, pour cette opération, aux Parcs naturels régionaux du Languedoc-Roussillon et à deux laboratoires de recherche (EVS, Université de Saint-Étienne et le CEMAGREF de Montpellier). L’objectif était d’identifi er une trame écologique, au 1/100 000e, sur la base de données disponibles et homogènes à moindre coût sur l’ensemble du Massif central et du Languedoc-Roussillon. Des méthodes ont été développées et testées, et des documents cartographiques (et données associées) ont été produits, afi n de constituer un support pour l’information et la sensibilisation des acteurs du territoire, et alimenter (démarche méthodologique, illustration, recherche de cohérence,…) les réflexions nationales sur la trame verte et bleue, les travaux futurs desrégions, des parcs ou d’autres territoires de projet.
