Nouvelles coopérations réflexives en santé : De l'expérience des malades et des professionnels aux partenariats de soins, de formation et de recherche

Abstract : The fields of research, education and medical treatment are currently perturbed by the desire to take better account of the reflexive of all stakeholders. Involving scientists, patients and health professionals, this book explores new and innovative care, education and research partnerships resulting in Europe, Quebec and Brazil. It provides a stage point about news patients and caregivers’ reflexivity mobilizations. It explores two main effects of this transformation: the deployment of formalized patterns of user representatives and expert-patients involved as trainers or co-researchers, as well as the development of PhDs in nursing. Two conclusions emerge: (1) the progression of taking into account patients’ knowledge renews both notions of “therapeutic education” and “health democracy” as well as it questions physicians and nurses’ curricula; (2) the construction of university teaching of Nursing requires the formalization of a still implicit model of research training. More generally, when cure or maintain in good health is thought as a set of co-operation between people who can think and have their free will, valuing reflexivity of all stake holders becomes essential.
