High-intensity laser matter interaction

Résumé

High-intensity laser matter interaction is a fast growing field of intensive research. From a fundamental science perspective, the understanding of the relevant processes involved and their efficient modeling is a very challenging task. From a more application oriented point of view, exploiting laser matter interaction for high-precision material processing or to design novel radiation sources are current hot topics. In my talk I will focus on both, fundamental and applied, aspects of high-intensity laser matter interaction, with special emphasize on the numerical modeling.
