OpenMusic on Linux
Abstract : We present a recent port of the OpenMusic computer-aided composition environment to Linux. The text gives a brief presentation of OpenMusic and typical use-cases of the environment. We also present a short history of its development, and men-tion previous attempts at porting it to Linux. The main technical challenges involved with developing the current Linux port are discussed, as well as solu-tions to these. We end the paper by outlining some possible areas for future work.
