Degradation of polyfluorinated aromatics: A novel efficient oxidative method using N-bridged diiron Phtalocyanine complex
Résumé
In this work we successfully applied (FePctBu4)2N-H2O2 system for oxidative degradation of polyfluorinated aromatics. The oxidative degradation can be performed in air in both organic or water solvents. The process is highly efficient for a large scope of fluorinated aromatic substrates. Analysis of the reaction products indicates total mineralization of these recalcitrant pollutants. Catalytic properties of (FePctBu4)2N-H2O2 are presented and mechanistic features based on characterisation of the reaction intermediate and product by 19F NMR and GC/MS techniques are discussed.
