Perspectives of endoscopic plasma applications

Abstract : The developmentofthePlasmaGun,generatingPulsedAtmospheric-pressurePlasmaStreamsinside long andsmalldiametertubes flushed withlowgas flow rates,isreportedwithaspecialemphasisonthe first demonstrationandperspectivesfor in vivo endoscopic applications.Thesafedeliveryandantitumor action ofplasmahavebeenachievedfor in vivo colorectal andpancreaticcancers.Plasmadeliveryand plasma triggeredinflammation insidemouselungswereperformedthroughanendoscopicprotocol. The studyofplasmasplittingortransferacrossmetallicsectionsordielectricbarriersisdocumentedand open upopportunitiesforselfguidedandlowinvasiveplasmaendoscopy.
