Collinear antiferromagnetism in ZrMn6Sn6-xInx (0.2 <= x <= 0.8)
Résumé
New ZrMn6Sn6-xInx intermetallics with x up to 0.8 have been synthesized and studied by magnetization and neutron diffraction experiments. All alloys are iscitypic with HfFe6Ge6 (P6/mmm) with a cell volume increasing upon In for Sri substitution. In contrast to previous findings concerning other RMn6Sn6-xX'(x) alloys (X'=Ga or In), the metalloid substitution does not allow stabilizing a ferromagnetic order: all ZrMnGSn(6-x)In(x) behave antiferromagnetically (540 K <= T-N <= 560 K). For the first time in the RMn6Sn6-xX'(x) family. the collinear antiferromagnetic arrangement (AF2) is observed in the whole ordered temperature range for the richest In alloys.
