Sensitivity analysis of a magneto-rheological damper: an experimental and theoretical study

Résumé

In this paper, sensitivity analysis of semi-active suspension system with a magneto-rheological (MR) damper is investigated. The MR damper dynamic behavior is described through various models. These models depend generally on input variables and numerous internal parameters which are governing the behavior of MR damper. In practice, the estimation of these parameters is difficult. Therefore sensitivity analysis is used to reduce the number of parameters to estimate, to quantify parameters influence and to indicate how the experiments should be performed for easily identify parameters. Based on theoretical analysis and experiments, both static and dynamic analysis is carried out.
