Brain Structure Classification In MRI Images

Résumé

This paper presents an automatic algorithm to segment and classify neuroanatomic brain structures in MRI brain images, using the structural knowledge derived from Talairach stereotaxic atlas, as well as the statistical and multifractal information from MRI images. The classification is achieved by a region-wise labeling with GAs (Genetic Algorithms), refined by a voxel-wise parallel region growing.
