Quand "ici" c'est "maintenant"

We study specific uses of the French deictic adverbial "ici" ("here"), where "ici" refers to time rather than place of enunciation, and corresponds more or less to the adverbial "maintenant" ("now"). We explore the conditions for these uses, and show that combinations with prepositions allowing a temporal interpretation of "ici" are few and highly constrained (the prepositions at stake are essentially prepositions of beginning or ending).

Nous étudions des emplois spécifiques de l'adverbe déictique "ici", où celui-ci réfère au temps plutôt qu'au lieu de l'énonciation, et correspond plus ou moins à l'adverbe "maintenant". Nous explorons les conditions de ces emplois, et mettons au jour la variété restreinte, autant que bien réglée, des combinaisons prépositionnelles (en particulier avec des prépositions exprimant un point de départ, ou d'aboutissement) où "ici" peut être interprété en un sens temporel.
