Development of optimization strategies to up radio link performances

The goal of this talk is to present our activities on Joint Source Channel Coding strategies for the transmission of a images or videos. To ensure the Quality of Service (QoS), we exploit the channel diversity with a Closed-Loop MIMO scheme. It relies on the Channel State Information (CSI) knowledge at the transmitter side that diagonalizes a MIMO channel into several hierarchical SISO subchannels. In the proposed schemes, the multimedia information codestream is divided into hierarchical quality layers passing through the SISO sub-channels. According to these strategies, we propose algorithms to maximize the visual quality in reception.
