The stories about the Creole societies history move from a narrative of predations, dehumanization, wild exploitation, and violent conflicts between dominant and dominated people to an alternative narrative of meetings, exchanges, intercultural foundation of a common and shared public location, namely a more or less harmonious creolization.
The present article analyzes how the literatures of Mauritius and Reunion problematize, through the themes of the migrations, the ways, the asymetric meetings, the intercultural labyrinth characterizing the processes of creolization. It particularly emphasizes the modalities according to which the presence or the ghost of the intercultural migrant blurs the way it is said, narrated and perceived.
