Quasi-Self-Complementary Antenna for Multistandard Radio System

Résumé

This paper presents a wideband multiband antenna realized on a small ground plane dedicated to cover LTE 700 (790 - 862 MHz), GSM (880 - 960 MHz), DCS (1710 - 1880 MHz), PCS (1850 - 1990 MHz), UMTS 2100 (1920 - 2170 MHz) and UMTS 2600 (2500 - 2690 MHz) standards. The proposed antenna is a QSC-IFLA (Quasi-Self-Complementary Inverted-FL Antenna) resulting from a QSC-IFA (Quasi-Self-Complementary Inverted-F Antenna) on which a L radiating arm is added. This type of structure is very interesting in terms of bandwidth and integration in a mobile terminal. Self-complementary structure allows us to maximize the bandwidth by taking advantage of the metal/slot complementarity properties. The design was achieved using HFSS software and a prototype was realized and measured.
