Superhydrophobic polymers
Résumé
Antiwetting materials have been widely studied because of their potential applications in several fields. Polymeric materials are of special interest because they provide advantages including ease of processability and cost. This article introduces basic wetting theories and overviews the main techniques to produce superhydrophobic polymers, such as templating, molding, self-assembly, soft lithography, layer-by-layer deposition, precipitation and crystallization, electrospinning, and electrochemical polymerization. For each method, representative examples as well as practical advantages and disadvantages are also presented.
